Introduction to Meditation Workshop
The Subject is You
You don't have to follow a new religion or mysterious guru to learn to meditate. After all, the subject of study is no further away than the nose on your face. And medical research has made the benefits of meditation clear. Less stress and anxiety. Greater mental calm. Reduced heartrate and blood pressure. It's time to separate the facts from the myths and the science from the superstition. In this simple, user-friendly, and down-to-earth workshop you will learn:
- About the ten basic different kinds of meditation
- How to define meditation and tell if you're doing it "right" or not
- The basic anatomy and physiology behind meditation
- How to do several different kinds of meditation to see what's best for you
- How to get out of your head and back into your true self
- The basics of beginning and maintaining a meditation practice
- How to progress in your practice (go deeper)
Why not take a day to get more grounded, deeply relaxed, and back in touch with your very best friend? In case you have forgotten, that would be you.
